Since the Candlelight Tour of Homes began in Jefferson Texas, there have been some of the most spectacular houses on tour. This is the 31st annual and there is going to be a bit of a change. Oh, there are still historic homes on the tour and then there is a totally different house that is being hailed as the Baby Boomer home. This house is completely retrospective; here you’ll find decorations and items from the 50-60’s era that are sure to bring a smile to anyone who remembers those days.
The other three homes are as usual some of the best in town. One of them is also a first ever tour home, The Rock Cottage is one of those rock homes built in the 1930’s and is mostly decorated daily in the Shabby Chic style that is so popular. The Keasler-Blair Haus reflects its German heritage, with painted and stenciled floors and walls that were typical of the time and affluence of the family. The Kennedy Manor was originally built in 1860 as a Greek Revival cottage and once used as a boarding house.
All the homes this year are incredibly different and unique, sure to please even the seasoned home tourist.
