Enoch’s Stomp Vineyard and Winery is just a short drive from Jefferson Texas. They have a few events during the year that are extra special and this newest event for July looks like an extremely fun event.

In my mind’s eye this brings back memories of watching the I Love Lucy movie that takes place in Italy where she thinks it’s all fun and games stomping on the grapes in the big vat until she gets tuckered out, tries to climb out and the little Italian lady starts a fight with her. Oh, the belly laughs we all had watching it.
It’s time to let your inner child out and have some fun for an evening stomping on grapes!
This year’s premier ticket will be the “STOMP Contest Package.” You and a partner will be treated with the works. The main event will be a stomping contest where you will produce grape juice from whole grape clusters by foot stomping in a half wine barrel. Prizes will be awarded for the ones producing the most juice. Customized t-shirts will be given to all STOMP competitors. This package also includes: dinner and fresh strawberry shortcake, two souvenir wine glasses, a tour with the winemaker and two wine tasting bracelets. (Price $130+tax per COUPLE)
OR if stomping grapes is not your thing purchase the “Harvest Day Package” which includes: harvest dinner, strawberry shortcake, tour with the winemaker, and wine tasting bracelet. With this package you will not be participating in the grape stomping contest but you may still choose to pick and stomp grapes or purchase a t-shirt to customize with your own footprints. (Price $37+tax per PERSON)
Oh my gosh this menu sounds like a great variety of delicious summer items including:
Tomato braised chicken soft tacos, Summer slaw with lemon vinaigrette, Spicy black beans and corn, Spanish rice, Fresh melon slices, Enoch’s homemade salsa and chips and to top it all off Enoch’s strawberry shortcake
During the wine tour, the winemakers will escort you through the property and explain the wine making process as you see the equipment in action. The Wine tasting bracelets will provide you with the opportunity to taste 5 different wines from wine tasting booths set up throughout the property.
