The B&Bs for Vets project was started by an innkeeper in W. Virginia a few years ago as a way to honor our Veterans for one night. The night chosen was Veterans Day; which makes sense. Since the very first time we heard about this we wanted to participate to honor those who boldly protect us. We only have 3 rooms here at the White Oak Manor Bed and Breakfast and we open them all for the night. Over the years we have had the honor to host someone from every branch of the service and had the best time listening to their stories around the breakfast table.
This year is no different and again we are opening our rooms for November 11, 2012 for a free night’s stay for veterans. The Better Way To Stay website has a map of all the B&Bs and Inns in North America that are participating this year. Not all the properties are listed yet so check it often for more Inns in Texas participating. There may just be one in your area.
Even if you miss this opportunity you can always book a room at our Jefferson Texas B&B anytime of the year because we always offer a special discount for our Military guests, you only need to ask for it.
